Recently, one of my friends, Li Ming, who works nearby asked if I want to have lunch. Entertainer app has one-for-one mains and desserts at Erwin’s Gastrobar. He swore that the steak there is fantastic and he has brought his clients there on several occasions.
(By the way, Ming is a fantastic insurance agent from Tokio Marine. I bought my annual travel plan from him and never regretted. He actually tries his best to help his clients instead of making excuses why it cannot be claimed. And nope, he didn’t bribe me to say this haha)
I don’t have a habit of dining at nice restaurants, but hey it’s one-for-one! And I love a good medium rare ribeye!
So here we are:
Here’s my Black Angus ribeye 200g ($22.50):
This has to be one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! I love my steaks, so this is no small compliment. Regretted not taking a photo after I’ve cut into it =( It’s so perfectly pink and juicy on the inside! I can feel my mouth watering just thinking about it.
I gave in to the temptation of just one single fry and it’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Had to resist eating more. According to Ming, the fries are hand-cut by the chefs!
No idea about the salad. I gave it to Ming lol.
He managed to capture me happily whatsapping Jake the photos of my lunch. Jake was super envious he couldn’t join us because he was going for his IPPT later that day. Heehee.
By the way, that’s Erwin’s Steak Sandwich with an actual ribeye steak as the patty you see at the bottom of the photo. Looks delicious too!
We did not intend to have desserts, but when we were there and realised that the desserts were one-for-one too, we simply could not resist.
Apple crumble with vanilla ice cream ($9)! Obviously deconstructed and omg this is soooo good! You can really taste the rum here. Get every single element in one mouthful and the flavours simply burst in your mouth.
One of my all-time favourite desserts: Brownie with vanilla ice cream ($9)! Crispy and flaky on the outside, soft and fudgy on the inside… I’m in heaven! Best brownie I’ve had in Singapore! I say Singapore only because the best brownie I had was in Melbourne. The only thing I can think to make this even better is if the ice cream was vanilla seed ice cream instead. That’s really to die for!
I’m so envious of people with Entertainer app.
